We need your business registration and/or tax number so that we can invoice guests on your behalf, comply with financial regulations and accurately report and pay tax.

The requirements will be slightly different depending on your location.

Australia

In Australia, we need to know your ABN (if you have one) and whether or not you're registered for GST.

If you can't find your ABN, you can use the government's ABN Lookup tool.

If you don't have an ABN, you can apply for one here. Having an ABN is not compulsory, however, it can make running your business easier and it's free (learn more).

If you earn over a certain amount, you'll also need to register for GST (learn more).

SERR

We are required to provide some details of transactions that takes place on the Riparide platform to the ATO under the Sharing Economy Reporting Regime. This applies to hosts who have a short term rental property in Australia.

New Zealand

In New Zealand, we need to know your NZBN (if you have one) and if you're registered for GST, your GST number.

If you can't find your NZBN, you can use the government's NZBN Lookup tool.

If you don't have an NZBN, you can apply for one here. Having an NZBN is not compulsory, however, it can make running your business easier and it's free (learn more).

If you earn over a certain amount, you'll need to register for GST (learn more) and provide your GST number. For sole traders, your GST number will be the same as your IRD number. For partnerships and companies, it’s the same as your partnership or company IRD number.

United States

In the United States, we need to know your EIN (if you have one) or you your SSN.

If you have misplaced or lost your EIN, you can get help here.

To find your SSN, you will have to check your Social Security card. It may also be found on other documents like bank statements or tax returns.
